E-INFORMATION SERVICEUnfortunately, due to technical difficulties it has been necessary for us to temporarily suspend the e-information service. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are currently doing everything we can to rectify the situation. SERVICES TO MEMBERS EVALUATIONYou may recall that a survey on member services was sent to all members with the April 2002 newsletter. The purpose of the survey was to enable the Association to evaluate members’ perceptions of the services provided by ACM in terms of value, awareness and overall satisfaction as well as to obtain information on members’ needs and wants. Many members returned the evaluation form and it provided us with some useful information. We have considered the comments raised and will report in next month’s newsletter the outcomes of the survey together with our intended action as a direct result of the feedback received. RECRUITMENTDuring the last 12 months ACM has achieved a net growth in membership of 6% and aims to do the same during this academic year. We will be commencing implementation of our recruitment strategy shortly and would ask that you support our initiatives wherever possible. The more members we have as an Association, the louder our voice, the more influential we are and the more money we will have to invest in the service we provide. ACM’s mission is to be the leading professional association representing, supporting and promoting the professionalism of managers in the delivery of high quality post-compulsory education and training. Our purpose is to act as an effective trade union in the post-compulsory education and training sector; achieve optimum pay and conditions of service for our members and ensure that their employment rights are protected; develop and offer a range of services which promote the professional development of our members; exercise influence on policy at national level; and promote management through teamwork and professionalism. Help us to help you and support our recruitment campaigns by encouraging your non member colleagues to join the Association. Simply by passing on a copy of this newsletter will ensure that they are aware of the level of service we provide and the support we give to our members not only as individuals but also in their role as managers. |
