Our network of caseworkers deal with a wide range of workplace problems for members and continue to receive high levels of satisfaction from those who have needed their help. One of the key advantages ACM has over other unions is the speed of response. A call to ACM will bring initial support and advice over the phone, and if you need workplace representation, a caseworker will be in touch often the same day, and always within 24 hours. Yet in the bigger unions, where officers frequently have a large number of members to help, we’ve heard of cases where callers have to wait several days for an official to call them back. Access to the caseworker service is obtained via our helpline. Our experienced advisors will discuss your problem, offering help and support as required. If they believe a caseworker is needed, a referral will be made. The helpline number is 0116 285 4055. WITH WILL AID, EVERYONE’S A WINNERProtect your loved ones and help raise funds to fight poverty across the world, by making or updating your Will this November with a Will Aid solicitor. We should all make or up-date our Wills regularly, to ensure that those we love do not have to suffer the stress and expense that ensue when someone dies intestate. Your Will Aid solicitor will not charge a fee but will suggest a voluntary donation to Will Aid. The money raised is shared between seven of the UK’s best-loved charities: Action Aid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Save the Children UK, Sight Savers International, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland). To find a participating solicitor near you, call 0870 6060239 or visit www.willaid.org.uk. A leaflet giving further details is enclosed with this newsletter. |
