ACM to launch new logo at Annual Conference

The Association will be unveiling its new corporate identity and logo at its Annual Conference to be held on 18th and 19th March 2003 in Manchester. Obviously an organisation’s image is extremely important and for ACM there are a number of the reasons for rebranding:

  • ACM’s current brand does not stand out from the crowd, especially with key decision makers and senior civil servants
  • the Association for College Management is often confused with or mistaken for the Association of Colleges
  • the existing logo and corporate identity is out of date and does not stand up well in comparison with others within the sector.
  • The full logo is rarely used on joint publications.

Council has agreed that the organisation will in future be known as ACM and will no longer use the full title (Association for College Management), except for formal use. The initials “ACM” have a high level of brand recognition within the sector and particularly by those who work in colleges. The new logo will use the initials “ACM” and new strap-lines will be adopted that more accurately describe the organisation, in much the same way as other associations have done.

ACM would like to congratulate the following members on their
