ACM STAFF
Sukhdip Chana has been appointed as the Associations new Finance
and Membership Administrator and commenced on 7th January following
the departure of Julie Purmalis, who has moved to take up a new post
with Age Concern.
Legal Adviser Kavita Bachada will be leaving the Association at the
end of January in order to complete her training as a solicitor. Although
she has been with the Association for a relatively short period she
has had a significant impact.
Our thanks go to both Julie and Kavita for all their efforts on behalf
of the Association.

EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS ADVISER
Salary up to £23,000 + benefits
The Association for College Management is a trade union and professional
association that is dedicated to promoting excellence in post-compulsory
education and training. The Association supports managers on issues
relating to their employment and professional development.
The Association is seeking to appoint a person with knowledge of employment
relations practice and law. Working under the direction of the Employment
Officer, your main role will be to provide support and advice to members
contacting the ACM helpline with employment relations problems and questions.
You will also provide advice and support to the Associations caseworkers,
and assist the Employment Officer with other duties including the production
of briefings and papers.
You will have experience of providing employment relations advice (for
example gained as a human resources professional, legal advisor or trade
union official). You will have excellent communication skills. Based
in Leicester, you will be part of a small team providing high quality
services to members with high expectations. You must be able to use
a wide range of IT packages.
Receptionist & Administrative Assistant
Salary £12,000 +benefits
ACM is a trade union and professional association dedicated to promoting
excellence in post-compulsory education and training.
We are seeking a receptionist and administrative assistant to join our
busy team at our office in Leicester. The successful applicant will
work as a member of the Associations administrative team with
responsibility for operating a busy, modern communication system, greeting
visitors as well as performing a variety of administrative tasks.
The ideal applicant will have good customer service, organisational
and communication skills.
