Martin Doel, AOC’s new chief executive, will be keynote speaker at ACM’s May conference

ACM’s Colleges for the Future conference
Friday 23rd May 2008 International Convention Centre, Birmingham

The Association’s 2008 conference marks ACM’s 21st anniversary. Please join us in celebrating ACM’s success and its tremendous contribution to the flourishing of managers and colleges. To mark this special occasion we are offering our members a place at this event for £39 (£69 to include the celebration dinner). Non ACM members are also welcome to attend both conference and dinner.

This conference will enhance participants’ strategic perspectives on our sector’s future and offer practical updates and guidance on current policies and thinking. The daytime conference follows a special celebration dinner, held the evening before, on Thursday May 22nd.

We have a strong cast of speakers to stimulate dialogue and debate. We are particularly pleased that Martin Doel, the new Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges, has agreed to address the conference, sharing something of his ambitions for the sector. Speakers include:

Martin Doel, Chief Executive Association of Colleges,
Stella Mbubaegbu Principal Highbury College,
Sue Dutton, Interim Chief Executive, New Learning & Skills Quality Body.
Elaine McMahon Chair of 157 Group & Principal Hull College,
Lynne Sedgmore CEO Centre for Excellence in Leadership,
John Stone CEO Learning and Skills Network.

We will take this opportunity to discuss the proposed machinery of government changes.
